Time To Give The US Election System An Enema!

I don’t know about you but I think it’s time that the US Presidential election system could use a good enema to help expel what is about to happen. Let’s truly begin a movement to change the process that so many despise and weep over.

The argument over the Electoral College is a tired debate, it’s cliché to attack but it’s loved by Pundits to play games and beat the victory drum. Look it’s only a matter of time before we start hearing the cries of heartbroken about how the Electoral College system must go in favor of the popular vote. Think about it, can one, voter and candidate alike, take pride in winning the popular vote knowing full well that Hillary and Donnie are the least popular candidates in Presidential election history?

Outside of calling for candidates to partake in a version of Survivor or for higher entertainment value a game of Wipe Out, we’re stuck with the same old complaints of a system that has survived this long under its true intention.

So why not look around at where changes can take place to save the collective sanity of a nation that has been beaten down over Campaign 2016 since Campaign 2012 ended! Yes, behind the Media curtain is a list of possible contenders for the next presidential election and they must be talked about now! Because the viewers haven’t recovered from the past 4 year hangover, so keep pouring the juice.

The 2012 election hadn’t even ended and Pundits were already pulling names from their partisan sponsored hats, which explains why the GOP had such a lackluster roster thanks to likes of Hannity rubbing the shoulders and ear nibbling of Christie, Cruz, Paul and Rubio. Hell Tom Cotton wrote a letter to the Shah of Iran and people were clamoring for him to jump in.

Hey don’t get me wrong Left/Right Media were already running their pre-recorded Hillary specials before her cankles waddled to the announcement podium giving no hope to any DEM even thinking about stepping up.

In all honesty, countries like Germany and England have the right ideas on how campaigns should be run and I truly think we need to adopt some of ideas. I say this because there is absolutely no reason why a Presidential election should begin just hours after one ended!

From TV commercial limitation, stranglehold on campaign finance and a limited campaign schedule Germany and England have the right ideas. There’s a theme here and it could be enjoyable, especially for those that aren’t into politics as many claim. Let’s call it a campaign abbreviation; less advertisements, less debate, less primary, less annoyance. Yes just like a diet only with less withdrawal symptoms.

Germany only allows one 90 second political commercial per candidate. Yes just one ad for the entire campaign season and it only airs equal to that of how many votes the party received in the last election, so 100 votes equals 100 times commercial airtime. Seriously Germany does not believe in negative campaigning. For “Jolly ‘Ol” England the rules are even harsher as campaign tv commercials are banished completely.

Both Germany and UK allow candidates to campaign but those are only allowed to happen in a 6 week timeframe ending on Election Day and somewhere in that timeframe a debate may take place. Grant it that the UK voters are not choosing their prime minister, they are voting for Parliament who then choose their leaders

"If you have one party that's just able to amass a load of money and shout louder than the others, that's not healthy for democracy. And we wouldn't interpret freedom of speech to mean an unlimited ability to spend, spend, spend." Katie Ghose/Chief Executive of the Electoral Reform Society

Where’s the fun in trying to polarize a nation with overpriced, overplayed attack ads that spew the same regurgitated myths and tales of (insert name) opponents for people to buy bumper stickers and t-shirts to state their allegiance to one candidate/party? With all the headaches and regurgitated myths being passed we really need to put limits on everything from Candidate merchandise, Pundits endorsement, SuperPacs, and even Primary calendars. It's the latter that seems to be easiest to begin with.

There’s so much to list that has Germany and UK doing that seems to be correct however there is so much money tied up in American politics that we have become accustomed too that any changes might end in a revolt. But let’s play

Taxpayers spend just north of $400 million on primary elections. There’s no need to have 12-13 months of primary campaigning with 6 months of sporadic elections to widdle down the numerous candidates, especially when the majority of the candidates are Governors and members of Congress that aren’t doing their day jump while traveling around the nation kissing hands, shaking babies and shoveling food in their mouths while acting interested in your thoughts. I’m declaring an 8 week primary campaign calendar, say from April 1 to May 30 with everyone voting on the same day. None of this first in the nation, caucuses and super delegates garbage, simply toss tradition for a winner take all one night melee.

Candidates can still do their interviews but the true campaigning begins on April 1 and of course their advertising dollars are saved with only one commercial allowed to play. Ya know what, I'm feeling generous, so let's allow two commercials and those are only allowed to play per the candidates national approval rating. So pucker up candidates and buy stick in lip balm.

Of course we need primary debates, but those are limited to only four national debates because anything over four is just repetitive talking points and slander anyway. Besides haven’t we complained enough about the GOP’s scheduled 15-18 debates or how the DNC scheduled their debates on Saturday/Sunday evenings against College/NFL football or The Walking Dead to hide Hillary?

Plus, and for me the golden ticket, there’s truly no need for a party convention. Yes bars and strippers will be saddened by that proposal but it's not needed and a city will not have to prepare for protesters and drunk delegates.

Problem solved. Move along, enjoy your summer till the General Election begins.

As for the General Election, the primary rules apply; limit commercials to quantity of 2 and airplay equals that of National approval rating, 8 week campaign schedule that beginning with the first Tuesday after Labor Day and ending on Election Night, and the already agreed upon three debate system between the candidates.

Sounds pretty fair and balanced. How can anyone complain about that set up, outside of the candidates, media, pundits, and special interests?

Wait, what am I thinking? This is the US and I'm positive a very smart lawyer would figure out that one or two 90 second political ads is against one’s freedom of speech or a candidate would revert back to the much maligned 2008 Obama 30 minute campaign ad about his “policies and ideas” that has yet to be matched, unless you want to consider the ESPN/LeBron James free agency special as one.

The other wrinkle that shows is that of the PAC/SuperPAC that raise ungodly amounts of money to push a candidate's agenda with actually being associated with the candidate. That would be a long, expensive SCOTUS battle to get Citizens United struck from law. I have a better chance of passing a kidney stone the size of a Volkswagen Beetle then defeating Citizens United and the Koch Bros money behind it.

In the end there’s too much at stake in the our election cycle to allow changes. Special interests, political party and big money donors would not have time to gloat and spend so much time as too why their boy (or girl) is the best for the country no matter how bad they perform or embarrass.

That's it, slap the tap on some Little Bitchin' Otter Ale and pay your political tab because it's not long before you're drowning under the nozzle

Has the political endorsement become a career death knell?

Think about it, the everyday usage of the words “endorse” and “support” are pretty similar in definition, however in the political arena the spin on the definitions hold greater meaning, especially in the Media and the hardcore party card holder.

For example, when a politician “endorses” a candidate/legislation, they own it, especially when they autograph their intention. But by “supporting” a candidate/legislation it leaves an open door to walk away or simply say “I was for it before being against it.” It all sounds silly, but it’s true.

I’ve always wanted to hear establishment members of either party say they can’t endorse a presumptive candidate and I always felt the GOP would be the one to fall first, more or less in thanks to the 2010 Tea Party invasion. But as “independent” as many GOP’ers say the party is, they sure are showing their colors and calling out any politician that is not “endorsing” the presumptive candidate Donnie.

I ain’t sticking up for the DEM or Hillary. DEM’s have been drinking the juice like it’s a Jonestown revival way too long in hopes of anointing Hillary to her throne. Actually I think it’s a prerequisite to swallow a big gulp once you check the “D” on your voter registration card. Hell even a large majority of the Bernie backers will fall in line when the Philly convention begins because they know it’s a safe bet and the DEM establishment’s backbone is very flexible to appease their demands.

But with five months left till the election, the “endorsement” game is in full motion. It’s fun to watch Punditries excitement to announce who’s ready to endorse, even if it’s only a Pseudo-celebrity. But the numbers don’t lie and show the party loyalty is stronger in the DEM.

As we know, the GOP holds the majority in the Senate and House, plus Governors. Currently, 12:54 Senators, 30:247 House Reps and 13:31 Governors have all pledged their undying endorsement to Donnie. Small numbers when considering the Clinton inaugural ball has already seated the current 40:46 Senators, 182:188 House Reps, and 16 Govs.
Hey give the DEM props for keeping their politicians and fandom in check.

In a way, one can understand the GOP’s crusade to find a loophole to rid themselves of having to listen to Donnie’s victory speech in Cleveland, but it’s their own fault. By having a lackluster stable of candidates for the past three Presidential election cycles, two of which were theirs to lose, it was inevitable that someone like Donnie would be victorious.

The GOP is now trying to reign in a person whose character is what people have been asking for; a tough talking, strong backbone, non-apologetic candidate or the complete opposite of McCain and Romney. GOP leadership has time and time again instructed Donnie to “tone down the rhetoric, stop speaking in abbreviation, and get on script” to rid themselves of looking like a bunch of monkeys f*cking a football.

Sorry but the analogy fits the GOP this election cycle.

For all the off color remarks, arrogance and multiple trips to Principal Preibus’ office, Donnie simply will not be broken. The Media and GOP establishment (not to mention other campaigns) never took Donnie’s entrance seriously as they considered it a typical Donnie stunt to garner the attention he relishes and if he went forth it would be a “quickie, in & out” run because he just cannot handle negativity in an adult manner. But for all his cringe worthy sound bites, he has gained momentum but what does that actually show; are the so called base tired of the career politician? Are they really tired of PC candidates bending over to gain popularity points with outside party demographics?

The genius of the Donnie campaign with spewing one-liners, spitting insults, and of course soapbox knee jerk reactionism sound bites has people gathering and Media loving those ratings. He has forced every candidate, politician and punditry to consistently mention his name during every interview.

The Media feels it’s necessary for those who have endorsed to address Donnie’s actions and as of late it’s left many out in the cold with his folk. Speaker Paul Ryan has been taking heat for not jumping on board the endorsement train immediately and then when he finally did, it was in a “ho-hum” manner yet that has had him scorning Donnie’s remarks which brought Sarah Palin riding her caribou from the Great White North in an attempt to knock Ryan out of office.

Psst! Hey Sarah, even he loses his primary, he can still be speaker, but since Ryan is ahead by 90% I’d say keep your day job (whatever that might be).

No matter how many times the GOP establishment will have to wave their magical hand, the mouth of Donnie can’t be stopped. They’ve tried the teleprompter adjustment, they’ve tried handing him scripts, they’ve requested softer voice, but it has proven all for not as the Media loves unscripted Donnie.

Half-witted statements such as; "He's not a war hero. He's a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren't captured," when talking about Sen. McCain’s failed 2008 Presidential bid or in pointing to an African American supporter at rally: "Oh, look at my African-American over here. Look at him.Are you the greatest?" to the current “ask the gays” when asked about which candidate will be more supportive of the LGBT community, have the GOP scrambling like the Keystone cops, trying to control the fire and get back on message.

It will be interesting to see if the GOP endorsement numbers go up or how many will cop-out and go for the “supportive” role to save face come November. As I’ve stated in the past, I am not endorsing nor supporting either Hillary or Donnie and that leaves the only alternative as Gary Johnson. But then he had to go and pull a “Putin” with a shirtless GQ photo shoot!

That’s it, slap the political tap and stock up the liquor cabinet because it’s gonna be a bumping 5 months

It's time for a collective sigh and take an election sabbatical

It's time for an election sabbatical which means the Media will be pulling stories out of their ass to pass the time.

We’ve reached the point in the election season when the electorate takes a collective *sigh* and punches out for a break from a very toxic campaign season. Yet with people punching out till the Party conventions commence in a few months this leaves Major Cable networks to keep plugging away every day/every hour with regurgitated or “creative” stories hoping to keep ratings up and viewers in their seats.

Except MSNBC, they have to make sure they replay old “Locked Up” episodes or fulfill their Soccer telecast contract.

Yes, a large majority of the voting population has begun to check out on the campaigns. Events like proms, graduations, last day of school parties and scheduled vacations are taking over while others are manicuring their lawns or smoking out the neighborhood with cookouts. And why shouldn’t they, the interest had peaked a few months ago and now it’s time to decompress till the next go around.

The presumptive candidates have been crowned even though a couple still are hanging onto hopes of some sort of miracle to happen. Debate theatrics are on hiatus till September and all that’s left to report are personal attacks and “road warrior” journalism, as it becomes a “guesstimation” of policies, renewal of pundit contracts and a much needed campaign refresh.

Media may soon hire Psychologists to chip away at Trump’s mommie issues, Psychic medians sent to Fort Marcy Park to conjure up the ghost of Vince Foster or possibly contract the breeders of the late Clinton pet Buddy just fill time.

Move along, move along there are no stories to report here. Well none that we haven’t heard before.

I have fun with my Facebook/Twitter postings poking fun at our political system. Articles on politics, punditry, politicians, campaigns and other articles of interest has become a great social experiment. It’s easy to compare those that are “talking point memoheads” or those that are just repeating what their fave pundit spewed on the air to those that pay attention to the full spectrum. Sometimes the conversations are respectfully disagreeable while others are not for the casual viewer.

Yet over the past week or two, the conversations have dropped as people have heard enough of Hillary/Donnie promises or hatred of the other party. You know the “Soros fiends” and “Koch suckers” comments. People need to take a collective breathe, stop finding new avenues of entertainment to ridicule the opposing political thought or share some absurd meme that will eventually become truth to some because it’s easier to believe than to research.

Every campaign cycle, political conversations have become more of contact sport then intelligent debate. Better get a helmet as this year’s looking to be a keyboard bravery slobber knocker. Also, look into buying a good pair of hip waders, as a “yuge” wall of bullshit is about to go up.

The Media is filling the void with debates on Donnie’s alter-ego “John Miller,” Billy’s past love affairs, rankings of the biggest womanizing presidents and of course tax returns. Why? Because people love tabloid stories concerning the candidates who claim to be “just like you” or what was last week’s printed story to be considered “misreported/misquoted/misprinted” to be argued by paid campaign pundits.

We need, no, we want tabloid stories too keep our political bellies happy till the Conventions in a few short months.

I admit I find humor in the renewed attacks in Bill Clinton’s history of “extracurricular” activities because once Donnie’s womanizing history enters the conversation its immediate backlash. Neither past is acceptable but then again I don’t recall Billy going public calling Lewinsky or Jones fat pigs or hideous looking individuals.
It’s the void between now and the first Presidential debate that the Media will use to help sway the undecided so be afraid, be very afraid. But will all the waiting have people change their minds? At this point, too many have invested too much time in making sure the opposition does not win regardless if the candidate has their favor. But isn’t that the real issue; is this the right candidate to represent your political party or just the last person standing?

We can talk about all the flaws and embellishments of the anointed Hillary/Donnie candidacies. Actually Media will do the talking and those that are heavily invested in their party of choice will just repeat those words.

It’s the folks that I have talked too that are planning to sit out 2016 all together in some form of protest thanks to Hillary/Donnie. This cannot happen! We have a responsibility to make sure people get their asses to the voting booth in November.

It’s simple. OK, you don’t like either presidential choice, I get it, and I’m with ya. However there’s more to Election Day then just picking a president. Representatives and Senate seats are up for grabs at all levels of government and not to mention action on local/state issues on taxes to policy change on contracts. If anything go to the booth, vote for the issues and write your name or “none of the above” for president.

Yes you can do that!!!

In all honestly the 2016 Presidential election has always been the GOP’s to lose and what have they accomplished thus far is like watching a monkey trying to f*ck a football. One would think with so much internal strife people are hoping that delegates pull some sort of Delta House walkout while humming the National Anthem.

And for all those people that say “by doing that it’s a vote for Hillary/Donnie” just shut up. My “none of the above” vote knocks out one of those Hillary/Donnie votes as well. So call it even and go drink a double Key Lime Pie Frappuccino with caramel sprinkles, wrap your man-bun real tight and puff on your e-cig.

Then again people are more interested in the politics of the latest Captain America: Civil War movie then the realistic politics of ass kissing lying adultery obsessed fat women mockery tax cheating storylines of Campaign 2016 that the Media is obsessed with.

That’s it! Slap the tap on some Moose Drool while paying your political tab and keep checking out Maple Match to find a Canadian willing to bring you into their home

The Far Right Wing Paradox: There's Nothing Noble About Being Part Of It

Everyone can agree terrorism is the great unknown nowadays for the world to fear more for the fact that no one knows who, where and/or when an attack could happen. But here in the Good ‘ol US of A, there’s been a massive growth in homegrown terrorism (or is that a growth in homegrown terrorism acceptance) that should be feared more than international terrorism.

"Look at the hate we’re breeding, look at the fear we’re feeding, look at the lives we’re leading, the way we’ve always done before…"
Gun n’ Roses/Civil War/ Use Your Illusion II

Pretty striking lyrics from a song that’s over 25 years old yet fits perfectly in today’s society especially when looking back over the past few years. Regardless it’s an alarming trend that needs to be squashed before it destroys us from within.

A few months ago, the Southern Law Poverty Center released a report that noted “The number of hate groups on the radical right has nearly doubled in the past 16 years, from 457 in 1999 to 892 in 2015: antigovernment militiamen, white supremacists, aggressive abortion foes, domestic Islamist radicals, neo-Nazis, black separatists, and lovers of the Confederate battle flag make up just a portion of the list of Hate groups.”

I’ll wait a few seconds and let you re-read that last paragraph again. 4…3…2…1

Did you see it?

Yes folks, believe it or not both domestic Islamist radicals and white supremacists/Neo-Nazis are equals in the radical right movement. When I say “equal” I’m referring to the definition of a hate group; an organized group or movement that advocates and practices hatred, hostility, or violence towards members of a race, ethnicity, nation, religion, gender and/or gender identity, sexual orientation and any other designated sector of society.

That’s a pretty clear description that bundles these groups as one giant dysfunctional family of hate. People need educated too look further into these groups and not just fixate on appearance or their abstract belief in religion to realize they are more equal then explained by the media talking heads.

Hate is hate. It’s bred. It’s taught. ‘Nuff said.

To be fair, if you do not know the definition of Left Wing terrorism is “terroristic action that wants to overthrow capitalist system with socialist society.” Kind of simple don’t you think?

However today’s microcosm of the growing acceptance of domestic terrorism that centers mostly on antigovernment and anti abortion violence gets overshadowed when it comes to anything noted with the portrayal of “Muslim” or “Islamist” in its title. Thank you media for centering on ratings and keeping one form of hate up front and center over another!
Before I go further, I am not attacking one religion or another, everyone has an interpretation of their respected religious writings or they just follow what they are told to the extreme level. I know many religious people of different faiths and they all have their own understanding of that belief. Some are good people and some are assholes who believe they are right no matter what.

OK with that said I ain’t gonna backtrack and review the San Bernardino shooters or other Islamic motives as we already know they were radicalized under some perverted ideology of their religion and those actions are not accepted. NO ONE should be accepting these actions inside our borders, citizen or immigrant alike. However, it’s the anti-government and anti-abortion individual/group that have been placed upon pedestal or shall I call them “martyrs” by many that are very disturbing, it’s their belief of being impervious to the law of the land that is causing more harm than anyone else.

As I’m writing this, the 21st anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing conducted by Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols has passed. A great reminder of how anti-government individual/groups feel violence is best to be heard.

Research shows both McVeigh and Nichols were radicalized by the anti-government “Sovereign Citizens’ movement, a group that has committed many crimes, including killing of police officers. The group used the events of Ruby Ridge and Camp Davidian to help fuel the rage of McVeigh and Nichols. It’s also worth noting that McVeigh had even traveled to Waco, Texas during the government standoff to see this “tyranny” first hand.

By the time McVeigh was sentenced to the death penalty for his attack, he had became a martyr for many hate groups while other anti-government groups were appreciative of his anti-government stance however they did not agree with his action.

Or how about Rep. Steven King standing on an emotional soapbox and using the action of Andrew Joseph Stack III to further his agenda against the IRS?
Many do not remember who Andrew Joseph Stack III was, so let’s go down memory lane.

Andrew Joseph Stack III became another anti-government martyr for a blink of an eye after he flew his single engine plane into an Austin Texas office building that housed the IRS, FBI as well as the offices of St Edwards University because he held grievances about the US tax code that he claimed ruined his life in 2010.

Again, many praised his actions because there’s a large majority of people who complain about the excess of our tax codes and call for the abolishment of the IRS all together. That action was further cemented in the “abolish the IRS” banter by Rep King who stated “the attack was “sad,” “by the same token,” it was justified because once the right succeeds at abolishing the IRS, “it’s going to be a happy day for America.”

This elected official gives a back handed praise to actions that injured many, destroyed property and he attempted to use it to help his platform to gain support for his plan to rid the US of the IRS. How the hell does he still hold a seat in government?

The misguided mischief of Cliven Bundy led talking heads like Sean Hannity on a path of misinformation that enjoyed resurgence by his sons Ammon and Ryan when they led their band of “Vanilla ISIS” or “Y’all Qaeda” militia brothers in taking over a government facility at Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. “Y’ALL Qaeda” followers packed up their campers and trucks, left their families and jobs behind with delusions of righteousness, not to mention very little supplies to only have their venture end in the arrest of the Bundy Bros and the death of Robert Finicum; a person whose actions of running away in high speed chase, almost running over an officer and not listening while reaching for his gun is somehow now martyred by some militias across the nation makes absolutely no sense.

The amount of anti-government groups and their actions is startling as they feel to above the law, yet bang pots when the law supposedly violates their freedoms. Many anti-government militia groups have denounced the actions of the Bundy Bros as the incorrect way of being heard and causing a greater government oversight into their movements and gatherings.

For me there’s a hypocritical theme with the event of Malhear in that people celebrate the actions of the Bundy Bros but mock that of Occupy Wall Street years prior. Both settled on public land without permission; one squatted while the other used force.

Then there are the anti-abortion individuals/groups that have made greater gains recently, violent and non-violent alike, after decades of hidden agendas. From the recent Richard Lewis Dear to Eric Rudolph to Scott Roeder, people praise their actions, some raising the Bible and chant “eye for an eye” as just cause for their actions. Death is death, yet it’s mostly the innocent who die in these attacks.

To stay current, what Richard Lewis Dear did was kill innocent people outside of the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood. People cheered on social media outlets for his assault that killed 3 innocent people and injured another 9, some calling it the Lords work. Those that died: Iraqi war veteran Ke’Arre Stewart, Police Officer Garret Swasey and Jennier Markovsky did not need to die because of one person’s delusional thought. They were at the facility either helping a friend or scheduled doctor check-up.

Now what if a child was hurt during his selfish stupidity? Would people still be cheering him?

In the end, there seems to be a form of fun, if you can call it fun, is how people immediately flip the topic to whether or not those involved were/are Democrat or Republican. Who the hell cares? Its insufficient material to the story, but it makes people happy so they label to which political thoughts are worse.

So stupid a society we have that people want to destroy history in an attempt to cleanse the nation. Even in a Utopian environment when time passes some form of hate rises.

That’s it, slap the tap, my head hurts and the bottle of Titanic Irish Whiskey has gone belly up

Campaign 2016; Can We Get A Do-Over Or Are We Being Punk’d?

I remember my first time going to the voting booth; the feeling of how I was about to make a difference was joyous. Of course that was Bush Vs. Clinton and yet today I feel sorrow for those about to do the same and but having to choose between a variance of Clinton/Sanders Vs. Trump/Cruz.

Sorry you truly may be on a new version of Punk’d.

Yes pundits can blame President Obama, the DC establishment and even the insurgent groups like the Tea Party for the electorate discourse of today’s candidate debacle but let’s me be perfectly clear, we as a society with our Social Media/Reality TV/Pseudo Celebrity loving are the true cause of current Donald Trump phenomenon. I hate saying it but we are on a crash course that by the 2044 Presidential election our choices could be Honey Boo-Boo v. North West (Kardashian).

Yes, the “Idiocracy” runs amuck this campaign season and everyone needs an enema.

I can safely admit that I am comfortable with my decision to not cast a vote for Donnie Trump if he is anointed the GOP candidate come November 2016, but my decision is simple because I simply do not like the man. Never have, never will.

Please hold your “Hiel Trump” verbal attacks because I just don’t care for your pledge.

Anyone who has known me for any amount of length knows I have never cared for the gentleman even before he announced his plans to run for president. I’ve always seen him as an arrogant attention starved media grabbing publicity stunt whore for the longest time. Whether it was his NBC produced “Apprentice” or his stints inside the WWE ring, his puffer fish tanning booth appearance has always given me the hives. Actually it’s funny that many of those who complain about President Obama’s lack of government knowledge arrogant media fetish are enjoying Trump’s equivalence.

But alas Trump is a publicity god and the Media has created a collective circle jerk for ratings.

Look I give him “Yuge” credit for his real estate business ventures and I applaud his successes. I give him credit for his business failures as well. Hey, everyone’s gotta try another avenue to greater riches, but simply slapping your name on a product and thinking the public will run to buy it is as genius as New Coke.

Who does he think he is, KISS?

He’s a 21st century version of Gary Hart, almost daring the Media to dig into his closet. Yet, unlike Hart any bones in the closet for Trump turns into polling increase.
As I stated with Willard Mitt Romney in 2012, I understand you’re a successful businessman, but explain to me a failure/venture that didn’t go as planned and how you learned from that mistake to capitalize on the next one. But neither Romney nor Trump will answer such a question.

It’s obvious that both did not make golden deals on everything. Yet when ask during a recent debate Trump couldn’t answer the question while the cast of characters on stage attempted to answer “truthfully.” He spewed nonsense about “he only hires the best” to do those jobs and any failure is on them not him.

Sorry Donnie I’m calling bullshit on that excuse. Your name is on the product/contract, it’s your signature on the contract. You signed off on the deal regardless of its failing or pending lawsuit.

Water that taste like paint thinner.

Steaks that taste like flavored cardboard.

A cheap board game knock off of Monopoly.

The vineyard is not the largest on the East Coast, he doesn’t even own.

Yes, brand placement is essential. Location! Location! Location! And for Donnie he’ll lease his name to anyone willing to pay the price but that can have consequences because if it fails, he’ll get pegged in that failure. Trump branded products exist and great example is that Trump International Golf Clubs in Puerto Rico.

Puerto Rico’s financial woes have been in the news for quite some time now and the two golf clubs that licensed the Trump brand were in $78 million debt due to Puerto Rico’s tourism going belly up. They filed for bankruptcy in July 2015 and by November 2015 were approved to be sold for $2.2 million.

Just seeing the name on the course would have the casual observer point and laugh or surely make some sort of meme to bounce around the interweb, which in turn would be yet another question asked at debate or campaign propaganda by an opponent.

**Personal note: How to get rich quick idea #- 897968: let business lease your name for profit. Then again Kelly Sewage and Trailer Park doesn’t have a clean sound to it.**
Donnie’s best at what he knows but even that’s questionable.

His name might be on many a building or golf course, but that doesn’t mean he actually owns the property. Of the close to 20 buildings in Manhattan that bear his name in massive letters, he actually owns 2 and listed as “developer” of another 6. The rest are leasing his name. According to a few articles of the 17 golf courses that have his name on them, only 7 are actually owned by Donnie.

Even though he is being attacked by pundits and candidate alike for past statements, he still comes out golden. Hell it took a good 6 months for him to own up on some statements and by simply saying he’s “flexible” and that’s what has helped him be so successful. I’ve always loved the notion that if a Democrat changes their mind it’s a flip-flop yet if a Republican does so it’s “maturing” or now known as being “flexible” and the Media, along with their flock buy into it.

That flexibility seems to be very evident when it’s the argument over H1-B visa exchanges. OK so Donnie got caught in the spin cycle on employing foreign workers after attacking Facebook, Disney and Google for using the practice. But he explained that it is “really hot in Florida and couldn’t find anyone to work” at the resort so he hired foreign workers is a head-to-desk moment. He blatantly called Floridians lazy on national TV, wanted cheap labor and no one called him out.

But cheap labor, that’s the clincher as to why many companies employ foreign workers; pay lower wages and not having to pay/offer benefits equals profit and now Donnie is calling himself the expert on the policy.

I can keep going on with all the issues with a Donnie candidacy but it still amazes me that with a few months left in the 2016 campaign that he’s game plan of “I’m rubber You’re glue” playground tactics are propelled him to the highchair (or is that high chair) of the GOP!

How can one man have so many pending lawsuits and still be in the “want” to sit at the biggest chair in the nation? Oh wait forgot, Hillary’s still running yet the Trumpeteers or folk or whatever they call themselves will defend his faults as non compliant as they attack Hillary’s issue in same breathe. Sorry folks but from Rubio’s personal finance to Cruz’s birthplace to O’Malley’s removal of furniture from Governor’s Mansion all is fair to be scrutinized.

If I wanted another pompous arrogant attention starved media whore president, I’d be campaigning for Joe Biden right now, but I believe we do not need that person. Media loves Donnie and Media are whores for ratings too which he brings, yet in time he’s golden luster will wear off as did President Obama’s. How many people are gonna love President Donnie when he preempts the Young and Restless for an afternoon press conference?

That’s it, I broke my cardinal rule of writing more than can be read during the normal crap. So slap the tap on some Snake Venom, grab a burrito and how long is that flight delay to Canada?

Rubio's Cruz'n into 2016 finals, but who'll be his field trip buddy

Every once in awhile a person needs a good wingman to bring true success the adventure at hand, which helps explain why the position of Vice President is the most difficult for the Party nominee to choose.

Think about, until the turn of the 20th Century, most considered the position of Vice President to a “death sentence” to ones political career by ones Congressional brethren to willow away into obscurity. The prior century, Vice Presidential position was never considered the next step to the Presidency as that went to the Secretary of War. But at some point, it became a game of voter acceptance too show strength within the party and sometimes inside the halls of the Executive Mansion.

Presidential history has shown us that it is not unheard of for a President to choose a running mate from the opposition as Abraham Lincoln did by choosing Tennessee’s Andrew Johnson to help win Southern support. But could you imagine the path we may have taken had we stayed the course of having the Vice President be the runner up?
Kennedy having Nixon to kick around or having a sitting President demoted to Vice President with Eisenhower/ Truman tenure or a conspiratorial administration with Bush/Gore? OK the last one happened with Adams/Jefferson, but imagine the stalemate and gridlock we may have endured.

Many are looking forward to having President Bill Clinton back in the White House, even if it would be in the name of “First Dude” as the spouse to Hillary, yet there was a time when a former sitting President almost ran as the Vice President selection of the nominee who had a small political resume.

In 1980, Reagan was never truly sold on the choice of George HW Bush as the two butted heads throughout the 1980 campaign as competitors. Reagan eventually gave in after Gerald Ford (yes that Gerald Ford) demanded too much in return to ride along and the campaign had to twist wrists for Bush to except the Reagan platform, a platform that Bush had ridiculed on the campaign trail. Some historians like to sugar coat the political difference between Reagan/Bush by saying Reagan needed Bush and Texas to add to his California votes to beat Carter/Mondale.

Recently, even the losing campaign has pushed the notion of bringing in the opposite party as a running mate. John Kerry was rumored to have the “want” of his Senate pal John McCain to ride along with him in 2004, only to have McCain nix the option as he had his sights on 2008 and did not want to upset the GOP. Leaving Kerry to pick (but not happily) the over ambitious John Edwards and hope he could bring in some Southern votes as well, too which on election night Edwards couldn’t even carry his own state for the campaign.

It’s no lie that when Barack Obama won the presidency in 2008, many Democratic constituents were upset that he did not choose Hillary Clinton to be his #2, but also felt relief that Senator Joe Biden was the pick. OK, both GOP and DEM alike felt safer that someone with Biden’s extensive resume would be behind the inexperienced Obama. However now with the current cast of inexperienced characters running for 2016 one has to look and wonder who can complement the eventual GOP and DEM nomination.

Some pundits have readied their bracketology of who will fall where by Summer of 2016 and it seems, at least for some, the anointed Hillary Clinton will chose Virginia Senator Tim Kaine, which seems more as political back scratching. Hillary’s resume speaks for herself, so whoever wants to share her pantsuit shenanigans their background does not need to be complete.

Fact is, just like Obama, the three juniors of Rubio, Paul and Cruz have little executive experience. Hell all four have little congressional experience if you look at their absentee/attendance file. So regardless if any of the three make it to Election Day they will need a strong VP to rub their shoulders.

I have stated on numerous social platforms that Senator Marco Rubio was the victor the past 2 debates and only getting stronger in his own self induced snail’s pace to 2016 glory, which has me shining my crystal ball to think about a Rubio presidency and who would be the ideal running mate. There are few Conservative pundits that are buying a Rubio presidency, but those that have seem to be pointing to South Carolina’s Nikki Haley to hold Rubio’s hand, yet I can’t swallow this idea. Yes Haley is still a Tea Party starlet, but she also has taken gut punch recently in the polls with her removal of the Confederate Battle Flag from the State Capitol as the latest slap.

The choice of Rubio to pick a fellow Senator is slim for the simple reason that the GOP has 24 seats to cover and 10 of those seats will be huge battles to keep, so money is already set aside for those races. One of those seats happens to be Florida’s seat that Rubio has given up to run his “win or bust” campaign. It’s obvious that Rubio will not pick Ted Cruz or Rand Paul for Senate seat reasoning, even though their seats are stable.

Besides, the observant eye has yet to see a grudge match between Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, which leads many to see the “Trump n’ Cruz” slogans being printed come April 2016.
However I have my eyes on South Dakota’s John Thune to be high on Rubio’s list.

Thune was considered by pundits a likely choice to run in 2016 but he nixed those ideas quickly. He entertained the thought in 2012 only to wave it off it was by all accounts a “weak field” of candidates and the rumor mill for 2016 wasn’t even thought as I believed he has more to do as the Senate Commerce chair and the #3 rank in senate leadership.
Of course Thune does not carry the popularity of Cruz (52%) or Paul (75%) among his fellow Senators as he barely hits the 45% mark, but again he is not as outspoken as they are but his attendance/absentee record much higher. Basically he is in Washington DC doing his job, unlike Cruz/Paul who have been on the campaign stump since the day they were elected to office. Among the Conservative causes, Thune averages around 85% approval from those organizations as well.

If any other Senators have a glimmer of a chance to stand with Rubio, the names of Jake Flake, Kelly Ayotte and Tim Scott should be added to the mix.

Of course as the candidate lists dwindles down to less and less the notion of Rubio still standing has a greater chance and there will be many clamoring for him to pick up one of the fallen as a running mate. Governors like Chris Christie and Jeb(!) Bush still have a fighting chance to see their future political dreams come true, yet I do not see either wanting to play backup to nobody. So if there were a Governor of choice, it has to land with John Huntsman.

Then again, personally I would enjoy seeing the smartest (and most egotistical) man make his comeback. Yes a return of Newt Gingrich.

That’s it, slap the political tap on some Blithering Idiot Ale and keep the Merry in Christmas by spending your Holiday bonuses on the Freedom of Capitalism

2016 Presidential Campaign- The Human Zoo And The Jokes On Us

Yes Hell you need to turn up the thermostat because after watching the replay of the Wednesday night CNBC GOP debacle. err I mean CNBC GOP debate Hell has gotten a bit colder as I’ve come to the conclusion that I actually agree with Ted Cruz on the point of mistrust in today’s Media

Even though Cruz’s ire was cast towards that of the CNBC moderating crew, he really needs to be all inclusive to ALL MEDIA, not just one brand. It’s they, ALL MEDIA that’s racking up ratings with the past 4 debates (GOP and DEM alike) by averaging 15 million viewers so far. We’ve already been told that CNBC’s rating were around between 10 to 11 million but the excuse for the low number was due to the NBA’s season opener and Game #2 of the World Series, which is excusable as there’s a greater interest in those events then a bunch of guys talking about how they plan to change the US.

OK, maybe I’m not in full agreement with Cruz, who truly is so rehearsed in every step was simply waiting to mock the CNBC debate on the coattails of Donald Trump’s earlier statement that this debate was going to be “unfair.” Trump had stated CNBC “was going to be unfair” well before the event even started, some 6 hours prior to kick-off to be exact. Trump’s “unfair” debate accusation comes solely on the notion that he did not agree with the recent polling that placed him in second place which means he would not be center square on the debate stage.

Um, you can’t be the center square when there are 10 people on stage.

But let’s stop here as I have a confession to spout. This blog isn’t going to be about mocking the GOP candidates, but about the debate process all together. I had all intentions of writing a review of the first DEM debate a few weeks back but I could not subject the reader to a blog of non-interest as the debate itself was a complete sham and a waste of three hours, as most first “get to know me” debates are. However, it perfectly intertwines with the past three GOP debates in that the product and rules suck. And when I mean suck I mean all of it; from the rebuttal rule to the greeting/salutation remarks to uncontrollable behavior of the candidate and moderator. You can decide about the characterization of the candidate by yourself.

So here I am some many hours later reading about how awesome it was that Cruz slapped the media (again he slapped CNBC, not all) for producing a debate that turned into an uncontrollable free-for-all for the viewer. It’s easy for me to point out how the candidates are a group of knee jerk "reactionists" to everything another had/had stated.
RNC Head Reince Priebus is quoted as saying “While I was proud of our candidates and the way they handled tonight’s debate, the performance by the CNBC moderators was extremely disappointing and did a disservice to their network, our candidates and voters.”

Wait a minute there Reince. The prime time candidates aren’t innocent in this debate disgrace. Yes the moderators did a poor job of umpiring this anarchy but when you’ve got grown men acting like children talking over each other, crying that they deserve more rebuttal time because someone looked at them or insinuated their name without actually saying it is nothing to be proud of.

The same could be said for CNN’s Anderson Cooper allowing Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton to go way beyond their allotted agreed upon time only to keep cutting off Jim Webb three words into his statements. The campaigns agree on the terms of each debate with hopes that the moderators will be able to control the candidates. Well unless the moderators are allowed cattle prods and shock collars, all the candidates will keep running over each other to get added camera time.

Normally the candidates stand still and make little hay out of the debate program, but not with CNBC as from the moment the ending credits rolled, the prime time candidates have been sandbagging CNBC with Ben Carson calling all campaigns to voice opposition to the “Gotcha” questions and to step up to a higher level of debate.

Hm, ok Dr Carson let’s shake it up because hater gotta hate hate hate..

Damn you Taylor Swift!

But let’s play the game and crash the debate dynamics to end these shenanigans.

First and foremost let’s change the debate stage and only allow “5” candidates on stage at one time. We can keep the “polling ranking” to decide who’s on stage and when. It’s simple math; 5 candidates debate for 60 minutes. That gives each equal time of 12 minutes/each. Truly I believe let's go further and do away with the “poll ranking” and let’s go by job description. Wouldn’t be awesome to see all the Governors, Senators and business folk in their own respective categories to debate within their grouping?

Grouping like Governors Christie, Jindall, Kasich, Pataki and Bush debating policies they legislated in their states could give the viewer/voter a better idea of how they could fair governing the country.

Secondly, change the rules with two simple swipes; kill the rebuttal and kill the mic. The rebuttals are what’s truly destroying these debates as I’ve stated earlier and to do that you kill every mic till called on. They want to act like children, well treat them as children. Imagine a candidate able to speak without having to worry about another interrupting their talking point. Again, this would help the viewer/voter make a solid decision.

And finally, only one moderator, please!

Unfortunately simple changes like this need to be presented by the Media to the political party heads of Reince Priebus and Debbie Wasserman Shultz. The fact is the campaigns have to agree on the debate format before stepping on stage and we’ve already seen some wanting change by petitioning CNBC prior to the debate to shorten the time frame from 3 hours to 2 hours.

But ALL MEDIA is not to blame for the debate debacles, we the viewer/voter have a part. People want to see the candidates fight over whose better, but it also depends on what source people get their news from. If you’re a constant FOX viewer, yes you will complain about the moderators on CNBC/MSNBC as too liberal and vice verse. Same goes if you’re a Trump fan, you’ll think he won the debate (according to immediate polling he’s won all three thus far) and someone like Chris Christie was horrible. But were you actually listening or just discounting another candidate’s words because you just don’t like them?

Maybe that’s why I watch the debates twice; once for the initial view and the second for truly paying attention. By doing so, I can honestly say Christie has been better than the leading candidates these past two debates, as have been Marco Rubio and Lindsey Graham. Yes I said Lindsey Graham and as much as I mock the Southern Bell, he does deserve a main stage soapbox over Kasich/Paul/Huckabee. But to get there, people really need to listen.

YAWN! No one will ever be happy with the moderators, whom go about their business until there’s that one moment the viewer doesn’t like the question and BAM! the moderator becomes a target on the dart board, or in today’s world a quick mock on Social Media. Talk about leading the public, as their family and friends are heavily guaranteed to agree with that opinionated Social Media post and repost on their own page.

The day after is usually a nauseating day for the average viewer as that network spends the next 24 hours debating and dissecting the previous night’s performance while the competing other networks are busy critiquing the highlights.

And now this current blog has become nauseating and I need a drink

That’s it, Slap the tap on some “Ass Kisser Ale,” pay your non-flat tax political tab and turn up the heat because it’s cold inside CNBC studios until the next scheduled debate debacle is viewed.
